Meet the designers

We’re Catherine and Jen (pictured left to right), longtime friends and garden designers based in Buckinghamshire. We met 12 years ago when our children were young and have since built successful independent garden design businesses after transitioning from corporate careers to pursue our passion for design.

Now, we collaborate on a variety of projects, from client work to our debut joint venture at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025.

We also volunteer together at NHS Amersham Hospital, where we’re part of a dedicated team rejuvenating the hospital’s garden spaces.

Our shared commitment to creating beautiful and purposeful outdoor spaces guides every project we work on, and continues to inspire us in both our professional and volunteer work.

Who are we?

Meet Jen

Jen was drawn to garden design by her passion for mental health and well-being. After a successful 20-year career in the corporate sector, she retrained as a garden designer to merge her creativity with a desire to create gardens that connect people with nature. She graduated with Distinction from the London College of Garden Design in 2021.

Jen’s design style strikes a balance between practicality and aesthetics, focusing on creating spaces that enhance how people use and enjoy their outdoor environments—whether for socialising, relaxing, appreciating nature, or simply unwinding in a beautiful setting.

Jen’s planting approach is tailored to each client’s preferences and the property’s style and surroundings, ensuring the garden integrates seamlessly with its environment. Her signature style often includes a foundation of evergreen plants paired with soft, naturalistic flowering varieties, offering colour, airiness, and seasonal interest.

Meet Catherine

Growing up in South Africa, Catherine developed a love for outdoor living and a deep connection to nature.

After 20 years in marketing, she retrained at KLC and graduated in 2021, combining her passion for design with a desire to create beautiful, functional spaces that enhance everyday life.

Catherine’s design philosophy is rooted in the principle of ‘form follows function’, creating gardens that balance beauty with purpose. She focuses on sustainable, year-round planting to create cohesive, immersive gardens that evolve with the seasons.

Her planting style blends vibrant colour, form, and texture with carefully selected plants for foliage and blooms, ensuring year-round interest. Each garden is tailored to the client’s style and the site’s unique features, creating spaces that promote well-being and offer restorative spaces for people to connect with nature.
